Clearcut Destruction

I hope the people who are making money by clear-cutting live down hill/road/stream/etc. When the area floods, they will understand the value of trees. If you don't believe me, just look at the areas of the Earth where water and/or wind damage occur: no trees, or no good trees.

I am writing to ask Premier McGuinty and the Ontario government to stop logging Grassy Narrows territory and to stand up for the rights of the community so more trees from Grassy Narrows don’t end up in American subdivisions.

Looks like Canada is following the USA's example and is systematically trashing its environment without regard for the consequences. Clear cutting is one of the best examples of environmental idiocy. In fact Canada's environmental policy is so similar to that of our own, to all intents and purposes Canada could be the 51st state. No need to keep up with the Jones' Canada. Just because we have polluted and ruined much of our beautiful country for fun and profit doesn't mean you should too!
